As we entered the large conservatory, we marvelled at the sights and sounds of the rainforest. A bird took a fancy to Steve's shoe and tried to eat the shoelaces!!! There were thousands of tropical plants lining the meandering paths that lead to koi ponds, the world's smallest monkeys (only 4" when full grown!), and an avian world of brilliantly coloured tropical birds. We saw the free flying tropical butterflies exploring the blossoms and they even landed on us! The Crystal Garden was the highpoints of our trip to Victoria. It was located behind the Empress Hotel and across from the bus station.
